spell check?

I did a search on this, butnothing was found. How douse spell check (hooray!?

You have to download IE Spell first for it to work. Just click on the button with the “abc” above the checkmark, in the upper right hand side of your reply box. If you haven’t downloaded it yet, I think it will give you a link to do so. Then after that, you will just need to click on the spellcheck icon to start the spellcheck.

Spekllcheclk?

Soryto be so slow about this, but, where do I download it from ? ?

It’s easy

Just click on the “Post Reply” at the bottom of each page (the one you use to actually post a reply) and at the top right is a check mark with ABC near it. Click on that, and then click OK from the box that will show up.

Nice to see yu back!!!

check?

It sounds so simple, This is the reply window, the upper right hand corner handcorner contains no check marks only "logged in as " am I doingwrong?Honestly dgive me a horse any day!LOL!

Underneath where it says “Logged in” is the check mark (it’s dark BLUE on my screen) with the tiny (you might not be able to see it) ABC over it, and then to the right of the check mark is a box with A/A in it. the smilies are under both of them. The check mark is what you click on. And yes, horses ARE much easier!!!

Night song , you sradear to tryto take me through this, Ihave a young 13 yearold friend coming bytonight, Imay ask ak her look o , under neath " logged in as "in there is mothing but a blue line under my nsme , and then the ehite of the oft reply window, srory , did Iloose this with allmyfutzing around i tolog ini?

The “check” that you click on for spellcheck is inside the box around the place you type in, along with the smilies, which are in their own box right below the check, which has ABC with it. The check is blue. At least they are like that on the computer(s) (I use public computers) that I use. The check you need to find is not very big; perhaps you need younger eyes to see it.

FIRST you need to turn on the advanced editor.

Go into your User CP.

Click the “Edit Options” link on the menu on the left side of the page.

Go all the way to the bottom of the page. The last drop down menu should currently say “Basic editor – a simple text box”

Click on the arrow and select “Enhanced Interface – Full WYSIWYG Editing”

Then click the “Save Changes” button at the very bottom of the page.

NOW after that, when you go to make a reply, you should be able to see the ABC Spell Check button as well as the Smilies and some other tools.

Instead of selecting “Enhanced Interface – full WYSIWIG editing” you can ALSO select “Standard Editor – extra format controls” if you’re afraid your computer can’t handle (or will take too long at) the Enhanced Interface option. That’s what I have.

Now I get it. I don’t use IE and apparently the spell check function is right there on IE but not on the browser I use which is Opera. Well live and learn.

Thanks. I thought I had lost my mind when I could not find the ABC check. Now on IE I can.

!thanks everyone! I’ve ve got it!

OK, I’m back, but now in Internet Explorer, and, think I’ve got-it , my old browsers:yes: ,Opera, or mozilla couldn’t do it! Thanks everyone
