I get such a kick out of this. His name is so fitting for such an obstinate horse!
Clearly he was a good racehorse, but as his trainer said, the horse figured out that no matter what he did, he was going home for dinner and some turnout. So why race? What a clever animal.
At least if he ever has a day he’s just not up for working, she won’t have to second-guess, she’s KNOW…

This is a great montage of Mad Moose. I love the one at the end where he strolls out of the starting box so calmly. He must be such an intelligent horse-- love him!
