Spinoff on Thrush Treatments: CleanTrax and White Lightning better than Thrushbuster?

Hi folks,
I was reading the other thread on thrush and it seemed a common consensus that white lightning and cleantrax are better than thrushbuster. I was wondering why all the farriers say “just use thrushbuster”. Thanks!

“All” the farriers don’t say use TB, as many know that something that will get deeper into tissue is better than something that not only doesn’t, but is more caustic.

There are LOTS of things better than TB. CT and WL are 2 that will get much deeper into tissue which is what is often needed in major cases, as a start to the process anyway.

So TB just sits on the surface? How can you tell if a product goes deep or stays on the surface? Very interesting! Thanks!

So many of these things are just people repeating what “old timers” say, and there is a LOT of it in the horse industry. We used to say “just use Kopertox.”
Now I know CT & WL are superior products for the problem. Why not use them?

I still find there’s nothing better than poulticing / wrapping with sugardine for a few days. Once cleared up I like Jim Rickens a couple times a week to prevent it coming back
