Spinoff: Tropical Rider breeches, discontinued?

I used to ride in Tropical Riders all the time, both the pull ons and the zip front show breech. At the time, I knew the owner, and could literally drive down to the shop and try breeches on.

Then I found FITS, which provided more support (as years went by, I needed more support) and were cooler than the TR breeches.

I know the business was sold a few years ago. They expanded the range to include lamb skin leather seats. I popped on to the website just now, and find that the zip front “Show Breech” (TR Performance Elite) are discontinued.

Anyone have any info??

I just went on there and found out that a bunch of their styles are discounted like a lot. I hope they aren’t going out of business and this is just an end of year sale. I love their breeches! They’re one of the only full seat breeches that has fabric under the full seat part.

I just checked their web site and it showed the show breech you mentioned. Nothing said about discontinued. They were only showing two colors.

Unfortunately, on most TR Performance Elite models if you click and drag the “colour” tab it indicates either “white” or “SHOW BREECHES DISCONTINUED” as the available selections.

I know the pull-on breeches are still available, as I recently purchased a pair.

I really wish you hadn’t posted the part about discounts… really, I do… So I had to go and look… and now I wish I hadn’t…sigh…

It might be the Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale they have every year. Although last year they were all 50% off, right now it looks like they’re only 40%, so maybe it’ll change?

I’m just bummed that TR has <<shock!!>> CHANGED.

I have a hard time with change. :sigh:

I loved their zip front Elite show breeches, and the Freestyle breeches, too, with deerskin. Wish I had not sold mine, I would fit in them again now!

And the discounts are gone. Was sure they were going to do something for Cyber Monday or SBS, but they’ve all been full price since Friday!
