if you need to get up before dawn to “prep” a horse at a show, that’s not really an advertisement for good training practices.
But I mean, we all know that, cause dead ponies.

So, back to the original subject…have any of the EM horses that sold at auction shown up with their new owners? Now that we’re 3 months out, it would be interesting to see how they’ve worked out.
About a year ago I went and tried a bunch of their horses they have been trying to sell off their herd since October of 2018. Every single horse was fat and in good health. There was limited turnout but they were put on the treadmill each day. A rider (not a trainer) was riding some of them regularity. When the trainer I was with got on each one there was something significantly wrong with every one. Some weren’t sound. Some were hot and spooky and nearly unridable. Some where very green. EM has an answer for everything. Oh it’s just scar tissue. Oh some junior messed this one up. I have personally seen most of the auction horses (we tried 9 that day and lunges more) and wouldn’t buy any of them despite seeing good video. The horses were so far from show ready. They were out of shape, out of work, obese, and many needed a lot of vet work. I understand her daughter was successful but I don’t think she had been riding these horses in a very long time. I also am confident that EM herself has not been on a horse in a long time (at least at the time I was there).
Wait. Has EM ever been on a horse? Genuine question.
There has never been any evidence that I have seen (or even any claim) that EM has ever been on top of a horse in her life, though I don’t discount that a photo of a beach ride in Mexico could surface at some point.
She told me that one of the horses was her personal hunter that she rides so I assumed she rode.:…
There was confirmation of a successful buy over in Sport Horse Breeding a while back. Lady asked for opinions about the final adult height of a young, unbroke mare that looked cute.
Hope all the horses ended up somewhere safe but still wouldn’t touch them with a 10 foot pole.
Not trying to fan the flames but she has a ton on tonight’s Sporthorse auction…a few have been sold thru "“make an offer” (would love a further explanation of how that works) and several cute young ponies, albeit mostly unbroke, a major deterrent in buying for a child, why does she continue to breed and import ?
