I was thinking that it would be quite nice if there were the horsey equivalent of a sports bar at the Horse Park with multiple big screen TVs showing the various competitions and Kentucky Ale (which seems to be an Alltech product and the official beer of the games). Then, even without tickets or a seat in front of a Jumbotron, one could drink away the competition.
Great idea. I hope Alltech thought of it. They are being pretty particular with what people/companies can sell. Even wineries/vineyards that bought booth space cannot sell their wine – and Alltech doesn’t even make wine:(
Let’s see how much they cater to the fans.

Sure, they’ve got that.
It’s called the Hospitality Pass. Bargain at $600 a day.

I’m willing to pay for each mug of beer. Don’t need to pay $600 per day for that!
I’ve had to go to Lexington for work a number of times. We really like The Cellar. Great steakhouse, grill and lots of big screen TVs for watching sports!

We haz it. So… if figure it won’t rain, since I have a tent option.
I’ll let you know if it was worth it.
Alltech has a huge beer garden set up behind their main tent in the parking lot at KHP. It’s been landscaped by Jon Carloftis, who is a nationally known landscape architect and Lexington native.
I’m sure there will be TVs there, although there weren’t when we toured it, which was 2 weeks ago. There are lots of big screens everywhere.
