Lovely film. Do you know why so many withdrew from the advanced XC?
Footing
Woodside totally revamped most of the courses at all levels and added some terrain that hasn’t been used recently in a wooded section. I think they have obviously put a ton of work into creating new courses, which is great, but some sections were not fully prepared yet and there were concerns about some of the footing being hard, slippery, or having holes from ground squirrels.
Thanks for the info, I was curious about the footing comment from a social media post.
I boarded there years ago - the ground squirrels there are numerous, as are their holes, and you have to be really careful not to go off the tilled tracks. That area through the woods is awesome, hope they get the footing sorted out before the next event.
I have no doubt they will, and it is nice to have the wooded area open to all levels, in the past I’ve only seen it used for the upper divisions.
