why do people highlight ugly falls in riding. it’s one of the things about olympic coverage on mainstream television that makes me nuts.
i never watch footage of that. i don’t need that movie in my head.

FF to #61 & watch him absolutely Kill what could have been a mess.
While the falls were ugly, except for the dislocated shoulder, noone - horse or rider - was seriously injured.
My Region used to put out an EOY tape (Olden Days = VHS 
) they called Rough Riders.
Featured the year’s most spectacular crashes.
No one hurt seriously, but a lot of 
moments.

I strongly doubt many of the riders in this video would classify these as their “greatest moments” 
I watched last night. Some of it was definitely thrills and spills, but I enjoyed going back through the other YouTube videos and watching some of the old replays. I spent way too long last night watching the 91 Derby and remembering how much I loved Big Ben and then the 84 Texaco Derby and all the young kids riding. Memories!
