We’ll see how it plays out in the next few weeks.

Congrats to everybody on the list![/QUOTE]

Good luck everyone! Come on Reed!!

Is anyone else surprised to see Mika ranked below Simon?

Charlie Jayne impressed the cr@p out of me today when he received the Word of God, or the call from George. He very peacefully took one of his horses out to graze in the meadow, and was chatting with the grooms, and with no one there to impress was grateful, gracious, and excited about being in London to support the team effort. Truly a class act. Just the sort of quiet confidence that brings the best out in everyone. I think he will be quite the secret weapon.

I had the privilege to meet Charlie at Devon after his Saturday win, he is so so nice. Signed autographs, talked to fans about his win, was super happy about how his horse performed. He could not stop thanking his horse. Glad we still have riders like him.

Why is Urico not even on that list? He performed better than many on that list. Is it related to the Bruce Burr thing?

Just pure speculation but I’m guessing you’re right. He tested positive and therefore is ineligable for an fei event.

I had a similar experience with McLain after his win at the GP at Devon. He was on the phone and asked the person to hold on a second as he stood next to me for a photo. I told him I would have waited, and he said it was ok, while he held the phone behind his back for the photo. Really nice down to earth guy, who so deserves his place on the team.

Not sure. But IMO I’m glad Mario is not top of the list. Not a fan

Urico is a talented, consistent tryer - genuine Olympic TEAM horse. He just needs to be ridden by SOMEBODY ELSE. I feel bad that we are losing his services for this Olympics - I’ve watched that horse SAVE Mario over the jumps so many damn times - I’m a huge, huge, HUGE fan of the horse - but I’m not sorry Mario’s not on the list, not at all.

With Urico very recently testing positive for a banned substance, I’m not at all surprised that he’s not on the team. And honestly, I’m glad. Mario is a let-down on that horse when the pressure is on (a la WEG). I think he’s a fabulous horse and I’d love to see him with someone else riding him.

I agree. I like Urico but don’t like Mario. Mario helped contribute to our teams down fall at the WEG and we don’t need that happening in London! I also think Urico’s a fabulous horse that is very talented and would love to see someone else riding him who wouldn’t crash him and drug him.

I just read somewhere that there’s a cryptic post on here referencing that Jane Clark possibly pulling support if her horse doesn’t make it on the team. Did I miss something? I haven’t seen a post saying that on this forum. I’m lost!

And someone else said that Charlie isn’t going to be the alternate. I’m not sure how true this is, I’m thinking it’s just BS. I was wondering if anyone else heard that?

I saw reference to that somewhere else, can’t remember where. Beezie and Simon as alternates, versus Charlie, but I don’t know.

Entries were due to the USOC yesterday…anyone know if the list changed at all?
