Hi! I’m moving to St. Louis from DC at the beginning of June. Does anyone know of a good dressage/eventing barn to board with? I’ll be working in downtown, so trying to stay within 45 minutes or so of that. Thank you in advance!
There’s very, very limited options… It is not a hub of eventing. I’d suggest looking into St Louis Equestrian Center, but it is a drive from downtown. That’s really the only place that has suitable facilities for eventing training. If you’re in downtown, Illinois may have some closer options. Good luck!
I have a friend that does eventing out in STL riding with Jana Lyle Ellerbusch at St. Louis Equestrian Center. About a 40 minute drive from downtown… but rush hour will make it longer.
LOVE Janna!!! St Louis has Queeny Park which is a lot of fun and you are 4 hours from KC which has 2 eventing parks.

Contact Queeny Park via their website www.qpee.org It is run by active eventers including the Area IV Chair and they will be able to provide you with information.

We also have a ton of fun stuff going on in Indianapolis, which is not far up the road from St. Louis. Come visit when you are ready for shows, clinics, etc. (PS- Jana is awesome!)

I ride with Alexis Baker who I highly recommend but she may be far out for you. As everyone else said, Jana is fantastic and it will be great to have another eventer in the STL!
