Stable Style

I discovered the Stable Style website recently and have become slightly enamored with it. Every facility is nicer than the last! The five-stall barn they just featured is a real jaw-dropper. So airy and bright! (Although from a practicality standpoint, I’d have made the bottom half of the aisle & stalls brown … because, splatters )

It marries all of my favourite things … horses, thoughtful design, interior decorating, and extreme organization. Without a barn of my own to channel all of this … enamor … into, I’m struggling to find an outlet for this urge to create a beautiful horsey space. So if anyone has any suggestions* …

(*Except for my tack locker which is as organized as I can get it, and has a mouse infestation problem so gussying it up isn’t all that practical).

I love Stable Style. They are on Facebook and Instagram. Also, not to be an enabler or anything, but did you know they have a book? It’s lovely. My husband calls it barn porn.

I saw the book I’m afraid if I bought it right now, something would possess me to buy a piece of land out in the middle of nowhere and my husband would come home to find a For Sale sign out front of our current house

“Barn porn” When I was trying to explain the site to my partner, I used the term “horse porn” and he was quick to suggest an alternate name for my new obsession

I also enjoy Stable Style. Tack rooms always fascinate me, always looking for ideas. One decorating idea I don’t get and maybe someone here has done it and can educate me. Why do people paint the walls white? This seems like the worst idea. Saddles bumping into the wall, or dirty reins hanging against the white wall.
