Anyone been there before? Do they max out the jumps for their CTs?
Anyone?
They have only had one combined test I believe, but a lot is planned on the calendar. No idea if jumps are maxed out, but they have wonderful stabling, huge covered ring with good footing, and put lots of money into doing things right.
Their CD is Mark Phillips but the omni entry reads:
Cross-Country:
P - 2800 m @ 520 MPM. T - 2200 m @ 450 MPM. N - 2000 m @ 400 MPM. BN - 1600 m @ 350 MPM. All courses: Encouraging and educational courses for young horses. Established, irrigated turf on slightly rolling sandy loam soil.
any guesses on what we can expect?
We were there for the Jimmy Wofford clinic in June. Most of the XC fences are portable, nicely built. The dressage pad was going in and the covered is large enough to put a full SJ course in with great footing. On-site stabling is over the moon fabulous and the organizer is very experienced. Given that all new events have a few hiccups I think it should be a nice event. Hard to say what the good captain will do XC wise, but the colonel (Mr. PM) is planning on running his first recognized training there.
