Stables in the greater Boston, MA area

Hi Everyone,

Would anyone have a recommendation for a high quality stable in the greater Boston, MA area? I have just relocated and I am not planning to travel to Wellington this winter. So, I need a facility with an indoor arena. I am planning on doing some instructing. But I will most likely travel to the client's facility. So, I don't necessarily need to be able to teach out of the facility.
     Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Contact Jane Hannigan dressage - you may remember her horse Maksymillian

Well, which direction out of Boston? There is Cindi Wylies in Georgetown to the north, Jane Karols to the west (and, well, me further west, but I am full for the foreseeable future) and I don’t really know south of Boston well.

Apparently Heather Blitz has left Cutler Farm in Medfield to go nack to Wellington for the next couple of years, so maybe there is a spot there?

Katie Robicheaux and her husband Vincent run cutler farm for the owner and both have students there and will remain after wintering in Wellington. It’s a lovely facility

Nice quiet place north of Boston.

In Marlboro, easy to get to. Good facility. Great care.

Groton - beautiful facility, great care.

Berlin - good care, beautiful facility.

Well, for that matter, there is a good directory here

But I assume you’d want to avoid dodging jumps and children?

Thank you all so much for the advice. I will look into the stables listed above. I was actually told that I should speak with the owner of Cutler Farm by Johnny Robb. I am living in the Waterfront District of Boston. So, I have easy access to 93, 90 and 95. I’ve gotten quite a few E-mails from riders who are staying here for the winter and interested in full training. So, I may need to locate a facility that I am able to teach out of after all. I think with the Boston traffic, I’d only want to travel for a few clients. Otherwise it would just be too difficult.

Rumor has it Cindi Wylie is off to florida for the winter, so maybe there is an opening there.

Thank you dotneko. I will google that name and see what the facility is like and if there is availability there.

The Farm is Rosebrook Farm, but Cindi’s training business is Quarterline Dressage http://www.cindirosewylie.com/

Hi!
So, this search is proving a little more difficult then I was anticipating as my youngster that I am importing from Europe is a stallion. I also have an amazing seasoned Grand Prix horse (a stallion as well) that I am willing to even teach some lessons on. He’s the quality and type that really only one in a million riders get to sit on. He had an incredibly successful career in Europe, under one of Germany’s most decorated competitors, prior to joining my program and he’s only 14.
I’m kind of hoping that someone will have a high quality facility near Boston that has availability. If anyone can think of something please let me know. The facilities I have recently traveled to to teach out of just don’t fit my needs for various reasons or don’t allow stallions…

I notice Cindi Wylie’s name posted. When I put my horse into training with her people warned me, but I was looking for a change and had heard some good things about her. My experience, however, has been horrible. She is thoroghly unprofessional. She hides behind threats of lawyers and police at the smallest (imagined) slight. She has tantrums, stamping her feet and storming out of the arena. I recorded one of her tirades accidentally when I butt-dialed my work number and recorded it on my voice mail. When I told her about it she immediately threatened to sue me for wiretapping! I cannot find any opportunities to review her business online. Not sure how she managed to avoid being listed, but I’m sure there would be a lot of negative comments! This woman is nuts!
