I’d to get a little fancier looking for shows, which are usually a one or two day affair for me with my tack in front of the stall. I’m looking for some sort of stall sign, with my horse’s name and my name/number. Something portable to hang that looks nice and gives my emergency contact. Any ideas?
Not sure if I would call mine fancy, but they are practical! I just printed off small signs on paper with all the relevant info and my trainer’s logo and laminated them. Probably 3x5ish size. Can tape or staple depending on the venue. And easy/cheap to make new ones if these get lost or raggedy.
Eta…That cheap laminator was one of my favorite purchases this year! Made my stall signs and tons of recipe cards. It’s a handy thing to have.
We have these (or a style similar to) - you can get them engraved with three lines - your horses show name larger on top then your name on like 2 and cell on line 3. They hang on any stall and look very nice!
Our barn has these as well. Mine has my horses registered name on the top line, his “barn name” in the middle, and my name and cell on the bottom. At some of the bigger shows, the vendors can make them up while you wait!
We use these too, but never thought of including the cell phone number. Great idea!
I’m a fan of the customizable nameplate holders on Amazon. They’re super affordable, look nice, and can be customized to include your contact information. I haven’t tried, but I bet they’re light enough you can even hang them with something like 3M strips or sticky wall tape. https://www.amazon.com/Office-Desk-Name-Plate-Door/dp/B0076RRPV2?ref_=ast_bbp_dp
I have “horse show name plates” which have my farm name on the first line, my name on the second, and my phone number on the third. They are the typical brass name plates mounted on wood with a brass chain. My horses all have show halters with their names on them and I hang those on their stalls as well so if someone needs to call me, they can identify the horse without the name needing to be on the stall plate as I can use the stall plates regardless of what horses I have.
When you include the registered name and the barn name, which is usually bigger?
I usually do bigger for the registered name, then barn.
Moxie Designs on Etsy! She has hand painted all of my stall signs! Beautiful, reasonable signs!
I’m with Raine. I print out stall signs before each show (or sometimes keep the same ones for the whole season). I have my logo, horse name, my name, contact info, and feeding instructions. I then put them in plastic page sleeves like these: https://www.amazon.com/Avery-72311-Plastic-Sleeves-Polypropylene/dp/B000RMO37M/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=plastic+page+sleeves&qid=1571629194&sr=8-10 They actually look quite nice when they’re up on all of the stalls. I got tired of trying to attach my actual stall signs to the different types of stalls at different shows, and it’s super easy to tape or staple these up.
Although it’s not what I was looking for, this came up in my search and looks quite handy!

Ask your pony club friends. The kids basically print out a 8x11 of that, put it in a laminated folder (theirs has to have a picture of the horse, as well).
Leftover from my pc days, I still do that! Pic, name, my contact info, my emergency contact’s info, description of horse, vitals, vet’s contact info. Same as someone above, I laminate and staple or tape to stall front at shows.
I tried to look these up and I only see jewelry at this store. Is the name different? (Thanks.)
We order banners from vista print. If you get them during a sale, you can get them for like $12. Plus you can pick your fav photos to put on there
The one I ended up buying was under 20 bucks and I think will look awesome, I’ll share it when it’s done!
What size do you order? (Care to post a picture of your banner? I will understand if you don’t want to since personal info.)
