I have a gray Hanoverian mare Cococabana Reg. #313304696, imported from Germany, branded, elite, sire: Chasseur, dam: Atlanta by Argentan out of Wolina. Any stallion suggestions? She’s a wonderful mare. I have a video of her under saddle.
Cassillias, by Contendro / Stakkato. Young horse, nice type, very elastic. He did very well in his SPT at Adelheisdorf in 2011. 130+ pts in rideability/dressage, and 142 in jumping. Overall winner, I believe. Frozen semen available through the Cdn Hanoverian Society, and possibly SES (haven’t checked)

OP, what are you trying to produce? A hunter or a jumper? A horse for the big ring, or a nice amateur horse?
Since your mare is 17 years old, you may want to stick with fresh semen from a stallion located in North America. You should probably take a look at the stallions in the AHS jumper breeding program - http://www.hanoverian.org/jbp-approved-stallions/ . I believe others will be added to the list as they are activated for 2013. One that is not yet on the website is Lagoheidor G (Landadel / Godehard / Furioso II). He showed in Germany in both GP jumping and GP dressage but is now in the U.S. He has just been accepted into the AHS jumper breeding program.
Thanks for the reply DownYonder. I’m researching her pedigree to determine what she would be best at producing. I am hoping by posting here I can find out some information which will help me in my quest to find the best stallion to get the very best result. I am pretty sure I’d be looking for a horse that would be marketable and if she is a good producer then a possible replacement for her. My Blog has a reference to the horses we’ve been raising, not Hanoverians but performance horses so I’m looking for direction in regards to the Hanoverian. http://equinebronze.com
The pedigree of you mare is going on: Argentan - Wolf - Ciecieruk - Hunnenkönig (the mare by Ciecieruk is Ttrakehner).
Your mare has had 4 offspring that were competing in Germany. Also a fullbrother.
They were not doing the high levels, but all jumping.
It seems as if your mare’s dam was sold to Austria at some point, which may explain why there are not more to be found in german database.
The granddam of your mare had one dressagehorse upto level 3 equivalent and one uptp level 2. Plus 1 jumper in low level. And one horse where I can only find suitability classes, but may have been sold out of Germany.

Sorry I just re-read and am wrong. The dam of your mare had 4 offspring. Your mare had a fullbrother. The rest is correct. Sorry for misleading…
I would go on breeding her into the direction of jumping, But only if I would know how she can jump and how she looks like, her gaits are etc. Based on paper she could also be versatile… And based on paper I would guess she is a heavier older fashioned girl. So maybe something known for refining.
Contendro himself even though only frozen might be a good idea even if only frozen. His offspring is often not too huge, pretty, can jump and has often good gaits.
This is a short video I took of the mare. She was taken out of the field after a several years of no riding and in a week they did this exhibition. A young woman from Germany was riding her. I didn’t think to get some video of her jumping but will. I put this video together so I could try to find out more about her.
