My mare is due early Feb '13 for a Bellisimo M foal. This will be her first foal
Depending on the baby, I will repeat the cross or look for another stallion. Frozen is fine
Looking for proven international GP producers. Mare needs more elasticity/rounder movement, higher/longer neckset. Throwing smaller would be nice.
Would like to keep mare’s sensitivity, uphill build and movement and quick hindleg
I’m breeding for myself so a bit spicy is fine too.
Thoughts so far:
repeat Bellisimo M
Bretton Woods
Fuerst Piccolo
Ampere(?)
Olivi[/QUOTE]
Bretton Woods is too young to have offspring under saddle, much less international GP offspring, and he is close to 18 hands, so I doubt he will produce smaller. Bellsimo M is not too big, but I am not sure that he will help the neck set (I love my Bellsimo filly, but she has the same short neck as her dam). He does have offspring competing very successfully in the small tour as well as being an intermational GP horse himself. He is not known to improve the hind leg. He does throw an excellent temperament.
What about one of the Wolkentanz brothers? The offspring I know have had very good hind legs and beautiful long, uphill necks. W II has certainly produced international GP horses (for example Wakana), not sure about W I.
