And this stallions half brother is a 5yo stallion who is also fully retained and has had 19 starts for 15 wins! Unlike warm bloods TBs don’t seem to notice as much(?) and I’ve met several that are retained and happy, while the one warmblood that I met a couple of years ago was quite(shall we say) ‘prissy’ and prancy - one hell of a handful! Until we had him gelded, at which point he became an absolute darling! A difference in sensitivity between the breeds maybe?
I’d say keep him happy and give him some time to adjust. he already seems to be settling down. Give him some time and I bet he starts to relax his mind. Save up your pennies to eventually get him gelded
I hope you aren’t planning on breeding him. It is generally accepted that cryptorchidism is hereditary and colts born with this condition should be gelded. The AQHA for example, will pull papers on a cryptorchid horse that is not gelded.

No they don’t. Crypts just are not supposed to show in halter and performance halter. They will also not advance a crypt from appendix to regular registry.
There are several very well known crypts in the pleasure horse industry.
