Standing bandage/pillow wrap storage?

Curious what you all do for storing standing bandages and pillow wraps at the barn. My tack trunk will not hold a set for both of my horses (different sizes) without taking up tons of space. I’ve tried compressing the pillow wraps into vacuum space saver bags but then they don’t plump up enough once taken out.

I’d love to see what others do to manage this.

I keep mine each set in its own little bag, like those reusable ones you take to the grocery store. Then when I want to wrap I just take the whole bag to the horse.

I am always picking up those bags at work conferences, etc. I also have one I got free with some horse purchase from Kensington. I use that one for horse shows because it is “pretty”. I hang it on my bridle rack, the black 4 pronged U shaped ones. being able to hang the bag up also keeps them clean (er).

Dover makes a nice bag to store wraps on the stall door.

Ooops, that wasn’t it. It is the Dura-Tech stall front bag from SSTack. It holds blankets too

I have a set that lives in my travel trunk, but for storage of sets that get used regularly, I use a cat litter container.

I stand the wraps up and can fit the pillows and standing wraps, along with the containers of DMSO and furacin stacked on top of each other. When I was sweating the leg every day for cellulitis, it was pretty handy.

I use these bags: http://www.thirtyonegifts.com/catalog/product/320/catid/22/swid/565a/zip-top-organizing-utility-tote-in-la-di-dot/

Embroidered with the horse’s name, the pillow wraps/no bows or whatever your preference fit in the main part of the bag which zips shut, and each side pocket is the perfect size for containing a standing wrap.

I love them. I also use them as boot bags for each horse. Makes my life easier lol

That’s a cute use for those bags! And for the price, it’s about what you’d pay from a tack store for a boot bag, so not too bad!

This bag. Holds 2 sets of no-bows and bandages. Kind of crowded with the bigger quilts.

I use the clear drawer storage units [this sort of deal] to hold all my quilts, wraps, polos, and boots.

They stay clean and organized and I don’t need to fish around too much to find what I want.

I took the pedestal stands off my front load washer and dryer and use them for wraps. They are metal and have large compartmentalized drawers so I can keep boots, pillows, polos, and wraps separated but still easy to access.

This is not exactly what I have but it includes a good picture.

My horses are home so I have mine in those stackable, hard plastic, see-thru, portable drawers (WalMart), sitting on top of a four? Drawer Rubbermaid cupboard.

standard size fits 4 quilts and 4 standing wraps perfectly. They come in custom colors so they look snappy on the stall fronts. I use zip ties around the stall grille to hang it, cutting off the excess ends, and it looks great. I can cut the zip if I need to move/take down to wash/etc.

I do the exact same thing as you! Our tack shop gives you those bags when you buy something and they’re really cute. 4 rolled up no bows/wraps fit perfectly inside!

I keep each set in a plastic zipper bag, the one I use was packaging for a turnout sheet, but something like this https://goo.gl/7FmK0K would probably work just fine. I like that the plastic keeps them clean even if they’re just sitting on a dusty shelf, and I can just carry the whole bag to the horse if I need to wrap them, or throw a bag of them in my trailer/trunk when I go to a horse show.

I never thought of using those for quilts! Love it!

Following this.

Yes! Very good size for a set of 4, and stackable in a variety of ways. This is what I use as well.

And since pretty much everyone knows at least someone with cats and indoor litter boxes, free! Maybe not classy for shows LOL but you can get creative with paint and/or fabric if you wanted.

Do you mean a cardboard cat litter box? The link is taking me to Walmart home page…

Must have been an old link. I use these for wraps and hang them on the horses’ stalls and put daily grain baggies in there for the workers - if the lid is closed they are mouse proof.

Heads-up that links above may be broken because this is a five year old thread that recently got bumped. I was also trying to figure out why they didn’t go to the specific products!
