Standing Ovation for all the Para Riders!!!

Para started this morning, and I would just like to give them all a giant standing ovation. Whether they go home with the gold or finish at the bottom of the pack, they all deserve thunderous applause for their accomplishments.

I had the great honor of seeing a para class in Aachen in 2005, and it was one of the most fulfilling, humbling and deeply moving experinces of my life.

And they all ride better than a whoooooole bunch of us.

+1 Eagerly waiting to be able to watch the (annoyingly NOT LIVE) video tomorrow

I just love watching all these riders compete. And yes they all do ride better than most of us.

I am cheering for Team USA and all our individual competitors. They deserve it. They work really hard.

are ride times for Wed or Sun posted anywhere?

It was a blast being there and watching today. I got to speak to some of the riders and they were great.

I’m such a sap, and kept smiling when watching them ride and tears of happiness kept welling up. What a geek I am!

Tomorrow Para Dressage is SOLD OUT!!! Which is great news! My mom is sad though she wanted to go watch, but is happy that it is sold out for the riders

Congratulations to all the Para Riders !!!

Here’s a video on the U.S. Para Team: http://ker.com/library/video/

KER sponsors the U.S. team and we hosted them at our facility before they moved on to the KHP. It was a fun week, and an amazing opportunity to get to know them. Watching them ride takes on a special significance when you know their background stories; it really brings home the determination of these incredible athletes. Go team, and congratulations to all the para riders competing at WEG!

same sound problem with this link too… but it is in and out; mostly out.

I loved all the para people I met. As a group, they all seemed very positive and helpful.

Headed to the WEG tomorrow night to watch and cheer for the US squad. Lots of hard work goes into getting to this point, and they are facing some very stiff competition.
Happily, today we had a THIRD PLACE finish in the team test from Laura Goldman and Carlingford’s JD, the spotted wonder horse who events, competes through Fourth Level (maybe PSG?) with his owner and moonlights as a member of Team USA! Congrats to Laura, and the whole team!

This is great! My support and applaud go out to them, even though I’m not there to cheer them on!

So after finding out that the Para Dressage was ā€œsold outā€ on Wednesday I was VERY shocked to arrive and see hardly anyone in the stands. Turns out the sponsors got tickets…but no one was sitting in them.

Not happy about that. I knew a ton of people that wanted to go and support the para riders and thanks to a lot of ā€œsoldā€ tickets that were empty then couldn’t

I am all for sponsors but then make sure if you have tickets to get your employees, friends, family to SIT in them. Show your support or let others have access to your seats!
