I have never had this problem before, but when I am posting a response to a thread, the keys keep sticking and without realizing it my words are unreadable because they have so many missing letters (although there are no empty spaces where the letters are missing). This has been happening since yesterday. I can’t see how it is my computer, because I work at a computer all day long and the issue only arises when I am on COTH. Maybe that is my computer’ way of letting me know I am supposed to be working (although I am doing this on my lunch hour.
In the upper left corner of the edit pane, there is a button with “A/A” .
Click that one (I just had to do it here) and the keys should work again.
Thanks Janet, I just did that and will see how it works. I always start out with no problem, but after a sentence or two the keys start sticking. So far its working!
Well it doesn’t work. I just tried posting a response to a thread but the stickiness was back. I was replying to a quote on that one though, I wonder if that makes a difference? I am having no problems replying to this thread.

Its been six months and your suggestion still doesn’t work, except on rare occasions and then only for a short while. Any other ideas how to correct this problem? Its really annoying, although it keeps me from posting much, which I suppose is a good thing.
What a weird issue. Does that happen in every browser?
Are you using Internet Explorer as your browser?
If so, two suggestions. First, try clicking the “compatibility view” icon, which looks like a piece of paper torn in half up by the URL field where our web address appears.
If that doesn’t help, I found this suggestion.
Let us know if either works for you.
Thanks!
Mod 1
I just tried your first suggestion and so far it seems to work! And yes, I am using Internet Explorer as browser. Thanks for the help, I can’t believe it was such an easy fix.

I hadn’t tried it with any other browser, and the problem is back already! I’m not positive but it seems to happen more often when I quote another post.
I’m using Firefox now, so far so good.
