Still looking... Barns on MA South Shore

Hi all;
I’m still in search of a barn on the South Shore- I’ll be living in the Braintree area and working in the Plymouth area.
I have heard a lot of the towns in this area are horsey heaven but I havn’t been able to find anything yet… and I would love a place that came with a recommendation instead of just finding a place online.

Must haves
-Indoor
-Be allowed to jump school outside of lessons (trust me I completely understand the rule but for myself I need to be able to school not just in lessons)

  • Great care/knowledgeable staff who are accommodating (don’t worry I’m pretty laid back!)
    -Decent turnout
    -Under or around $750
  • Does not need to have a trainer on premises as I am most likely planning to truck out for lessons (in my price range I’m figuring I won’t find a fab jumper trainer on premises)
    TIA!

No she’s not. She stated she doesn’t need a trainer on premises that drops prices down a lot.

I know of many places around here that have indoors and decent turnout for much less then that. It’s the trainer that drives the prices up.

What about Wyn de Mare in Plympton? Good turn out, nice rings, and indoor, board around $650, if I’m not mistaken.

I’m looking for something similar although an indoor is negotiable for me, and it is hard. Does anyone have any experience with Reunion Farm in Plympton? I’ll take any info I can get!! I’d appreciate any further suggestions people might have!

I know this thread is ridiculously old - but this is exactly what I’ve been looking for. All of the above that OP stated down to starting location.

Right now my horses are in Middleboro -I’d like to move somewhere with more than 5 jumps and an H/J lesson program. I have an indoor at my current barn and my horse is in a 2 acre+ field. I’m looking for 2 stalls to bring my older pony with me.

And yes, I have tried Equinesite a few times and keep getting the same barns advertising to me.

Bump Please?

I suggest not riding at Reunion Farm. I rode there for two years too long! It was a nice facility, but still needs some work. The horses were basically replaced by ponies, and the girls there were so rude and non friendly. That’s just my opinion.

TB7 - sending PM

Years too late but Reunion Farm is great especially with young horses. Great ppl . Handful of ponies . They have been in the business forever.
