Unfortunately lined leathers break too. My trainer manages to break them quite regularly. They don’t stretch though and I think they are probably harder to break.

My Antares leathers started out light but oiled dark carmel brown to match my saddle or pretty close to it. I like using mineral oil or Walsh to darken. Simply beautiful and very comfortable to ride in.
