All of this is just an FYI. It may be happening all over the country but I only know about my area in the Southern Gulf Coast Area.
In the last few weeks there have been a few horses stolen from different barns. The thieves scope out the area, take pictures of the horses & equipment, advertise them for sale at low prices, tell the buyer that they will deliver within a few days then go take the horses, equipment, etc.
While some have been grade trail horses some were also purebred horses worth more. One horse had to be euthanized when they finally found them because it was injured while being stolen. In that incident they stole a horse trailer, horses, tack, basically anything they could find.
