I think it’s pretty safe to assume that they will not report to the media until Barbaro has regained consciousness in the pool and been safely moved to his stall.
In this case, no news IS good news!

God he made it to the pool! I am crying again! I cant believe how this has devistated all of us! I am still praying so hard and jingling so wildly! Thank you again for your kindness in posting that!!! :sadsmile:

I’m so happy he made it through surgery. Crying yet again…Thanks so much for the update.
I would guess that someone at New Bolton has made the (very wise, IMO) decision that the media not be told anything new until Barbaro is standing.
So much can go wrong after he wakes up and they pull him out of that pool–I can understand wanting to keep everything hush-hush until they know if he can stand on that leg or not.
Remember, lots and lots of people out there watching ESPN or other networks for news aren’t horse people and probably wouldn’t understand it at all if they were told Barbaro was out of surgery, but still had to make it through recovery.

I think they’re probably waiting for the press conference by New Bolton, who probably won’t have it until he’s comfortable in his stall.
