Looking at buying a pair of struck breeches but am unsure of fit?.. Do they fit like tailored? How do they hold up? I don’t want to spend a ton of money on a pair of breeches if they’re not going to hold up to daily wear and tear… Really wish I could try a pair on but the tack stores near me don’t carry them sadly.
I have a pair of struck whites. They come in two fits, slim and curvy. for my Whites I went up a size but got a slim fit. I wear a size 28 in TS and the 30 fits me well. I think the Ts are slightly more flattering but struck is stretchier and stays cleaner longer, which is why I love them.
They have held up really well for me and I have a few friends who have them as their schooling pants and they seem to have held up well for that as well
I won a pair and really like them. Picked out their grippy knee patch ones. Would say on me they fit true to the TS size. I do like that they are cut so they sit slightly higher in back then the front- so still a lower rise feel but nothing hangs out the back One of the kids at the barn also won a pair and they look good on her more twiggy figure too. I like the quality so far, easy to keep clean and washes well. Haven’t had them long enough to say how they hold up long term but I am planning on buying another pair anyhow.
A friend of mine carries them, unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to try them on yet.
I’d love a pair of the grippy ones, but I’m not sure I could justify that price for schooling breeches. Come spring I can pretty much guarantee that I’ll be buying a pair of show breeches and maybe the cheaper schooling ones. I’ll be moving to a more remote area before that though so I’ll have to order them so it would be convenient if they did fit true to TS sizing.
