Stuart Training Helmet cam

Before we get too hyper about my rides at the down banks (a combo and a water drop), please remember these are my personal demons which was amplified two weekends ago at GVH which you can relive here - http://www.chronofhorse.com/forum/showthread.php?440826-Oh-nice-to-meet-you-Janet!

I was very happy with my mare, she did awesome, I should have just ridden more forward and positive to the water, we would have been fine! Also I nearly lost my armband at the water, juggled it through the coffin and finally wrapped it around my reins sometime after the coffin. That loss of forward for us at the water really screwed up our next series of fences, but we got through it!

Will come back to watch both later. Am hurrying to walk the dog, feed her, walk her again and take a shower.

Good luck on stadium.

Good on ya, Jannah! (And Rogue!) Very well done, indeed.

This was cool to watch!! Thanks for sharing

That was lovely to see. What a great team you are. The grounds for Stuart are really beautiful!

very happy to say we went double clear on stadium (we hardly ever do!). She was pretty tired, we ended up stuffing in spots as I couldn’t get her to open up her stride any more. She did a very good job getting her body out of the way. Ended 13th, but its a number not a letter, very happy with her!

I did see your stadium round and it was a good round. The best part of it was that you couldn’t really tell in the video that hubby took that it was raining. Heck of a soggy Sunday. :frowning:

Enjoyed your helmet cam at SHT. Jolly certainly is looking for her jumps. Those little ears were up the whole time. Good girl.

I didn’t realize your fall at GVH was at the step jump. I know I didn’t see any of your GVH rounds. Last yr at one of the schools at GVH a friend came off at the steps as her horse put in a stop at the top and she flipped over his head like you did BUT landed on the edge of the step that was a railroad tie. She broke 7 transverse processes in her back. She also thought she just had the wind knocked out of her and didn’t go to the hospital till later.

I’ll possibly see you this coming weekend at Mary’s as I see you’re on the schedule.

After the fall you had at the downbanks at GVH, I’m impressed with your “tackling your demons” head-on in competition again! I think you were perfectly fine in allowing for a bit of “processing time” before the bogey fences…I NEVER have an issue in making an experience positive for a horse, particularly after some sticky times in the past at particular fences.

Well done!

That’s a beautiful XC course and you handled things great. Looked like a fairly beefy Training course.

I love watching your videos. More than watching I love listening to you as you talk to your horse thru the whole course.

I too watched your stadium round on Sunday, just did not know it was you. Great job.

That’s the most fun I’ve had riding a XC course in years lol
Thanks for sharing. You have a nice touch of being brave and patient. Your mare is just super. Enjoy the season!

I really enjoyed your video. I’ll never make it to that level, probably never make it to any level, but watching the video was like riding the course (without the scary bits). What a beautiful course.

Looks like a great ride! Congratulations and thanks for sharing!
