Does anyone know what the codes are for Stubben Saddles, mainly trying to find out the year of manufacture? I’ve tried calling and emailing Stubben North America office but they are not answering the phone or email.
The year is not stamped on it. They have been responsive to me in the past (pre-covid). Do you know the approximate age? I think they switched to the blue nail heads in the 80s.
It’s a serial number, and unlike some manufacturers I don’t believe there’s any way to decode it without their help. (Other than the tree size, which is typically underneath the serial.)
I emailed them with mine several years ago and got the response that their records don’t go back that far… saddle is very obviously from the 90s or newer based on the style, so that kind of surprised me.
No I don’t know what year it was made that’s what I’m trying to find out. It’s a Genesis Delux CL I don’t think it’s that old, I know the C at the beginning means it has short points and the 30 at the end is the tree width but that’s all I can find. Still getting no answer on their phone or email. It’s not that critical to know it, just curious.

I worked with a Stubben rep 2-ish months ago to find a new to me saddle, and it took even her a few days to hear back from the NA office on serial number specs

Have you tried emailing them? I’ve had luck twice in the past with saddle identification that way with Stubben. Good luck.
