Pony has decided my tad coffin isn’t working for him. I’m looking for something with a narrow twist and close contact feel. A friend has recommended both of these Stubbens as an option. I’m having the rep out this week but I’m wondering what your thoughts are. Thanks in advance.
I haven’t sat in the Portos, but I had a Zaria Optimum that I got for a steal and loved it. No longer have the horse that it fit, but if I could find another Zaria in the right size for me and current horse (especially with the Biomex) in my budget, I would definitely snap it up. I am a Stubben fan, in general, but found the Zaria to be a bit more modern in terms of balance/feel.
I have a Portos which I truly adore. I personally find the balance point of the Portos more effective for show jumping, but that could just be my preference. I felt the Zaria was better suited to a slightly less forward balance point that felt like it would be better for cross country. But again, that could just be my personal preference.
Check out the stubborn sale saddles. They have a bunch in the 900 range! I just got one for 1k with biomex
Glad you pulled the trigger - let us know how you like it!
I LOVE it. So does my horse. Here I’ve been looking at 3k+ saddles and I found the perfect fit for 1100. Thanks so much guys.
