Any recommendations on restaurants/bars/etc. near WEC (Wilmington, Ohio)? My husband helps groom for me (and does a million other things) and so I like to take him out in the evenings and make sure he has an enjoyable time while we are showing. I know there isn’t much, but I’m hoping to find a couple good ideas.
Wilmington is small but there are options in the area. Try the Spillway Lodge (www.spillwaylodge.com) - has a nice view and the food is decent. I am most familiar with Wilmington northwards, so if you don’t mind driving a bit, Winds Cafe in Yellow Springs is excellent and Yellow Springs is a fun town to explore. There are other good restaurants at a variety of price points. Xenia is between Wilmington and Yellow Springs, but I am not as familiar with restaurants there, but it is a place to look.
Also if your DH like airplanes, the US Air Force Museum is due north and is a great place for aviation lovers.
If you go south, there’s lots in Mason as far as chain restaurants.
