So I’ll see on the main page that there is a new post in a subtopic, but when I click on the subtopic, the thread isn’t at the top. Also the threads in the subtopic main pages do not show up as updated, but if I click on a thread, there will be new responses. It’s weird. It’s like the threads are stuck in a time warp on the main page of the subtopics and not updating to show that there are new responses. Anyone else with this issue?

Yup, me too. Firefox here.
it’s also taking several minutes for replies to post, so people are posting again, and then you end up with multiple duplicate replies.
maybe it’s the sunspots. 
This happened to me as well. Another Firefox user.
Is this still an issue or has the problem resolved over the weekend?
