Suggestions for Men's Riding Pants Similar to Equissentials?

My husband trail rides with me, and appreciates full seats for the extra grip. He rides western, and likes the boot cut style.

In the past I have bought him Equissentials, which he loved but they are now out of business. I got him Trail Riders Jeans (https://www.trailridersjeans.com/jeans) as the best substitute I could find. They’re decent, but not as grippy or stretchy as the Equissentials.

I’ve heard enough negative feedback about Aanstadt Das that I’m extremely reluctant to order from them.

We have a long camping trip coming up in August, and I’d like to find him something before then.

Any suggestions?

A guy at the barn was wearing these. www.horka.com The men’s Oslo #118533

Plug 118533 into the search box. Then if you like them click on the shopfinder, and select webshops.

riding ware house has these www.ridingwarehouse.com/Deluxe_Trail_Riders_Unisex_Full_Seat_Jeans-_DEAL/descpage-DTRJFS.html

Thanks for the Oslo suggestion! I’ll take a close look at those. The Riding Warehouse ones are what I already bought. They’re nice, but hubby would like a little more stretch and grip if possible.

These look pretty interesting; https://www.encoreequestrian.com/collections/boot-cut-breeches/products/3376

Thanks both! I ordered him both the Horka and the HKM from Tackville in the U.K. Fingers crossed on sizing - they only went to a 40" which should work if it’s true to size.

I’ll report back once he’s tried them in the saddle. Every time I shop for my husband I get enormous sympathy for all the serious male riders. Finding good stuff is hard!

Might he consider a pair of Men’s Trekkers from Saddlebums? http://www.saddlebums.com/padseatandkn.html

I have 2 pair of their endurance tights and you cannot kill them. Years of use without a snag, stretch or pull. Super comfy padding in just the right parts, plenty of options to self-design what you want and super sticky.

Polo jeans…cheap, stretchy and comfortable. Usually in white, but simple to get out a pack of Rit dye and change them to whatever color you want.
