Sulfur (sulpher) salt? (The large yellow block salt)

I was in a small feed store in MT and in talking with the woman working there, she said the yellow block salt is used by a lot of ranchers to help deter ticks. Anyone heard of that? Has anyone used the yellow salt?

Something I learned recently is that sulfur can interfere with copper & zinc absorption. We have a lot of sulfur already and I actually stopped feeding MSM because of this interaction.

I never noticed any difference with the ticks before or after limiting additional sulfur intake.

Thank you for this. Brings me back to questioning my decision to double my horse’s Cu and Zn. I need to feed MSM because it seems to be one of the few things that help her asthma, but although aware of needing to try to counteract iron, I did not know about sulphur. Glad I did double the Cu and Zn and hoping that quantity counts.

We really have to read labels and double/triple check products!
