Summit Joint Performance now EternaPureUSA

What gives? Why the name switch? What did I miss?

Also, anyone notice the new company MOVEX pushing the same product but apparently different companies?

They rebranded (I assume it’s a rebrand, it didn’t seem to be a buy out) a couple of months ago - I think February? It was around the same time as a price increase and subscribers got an extra dose for free - not sure if the free dose was because of the price increase or the name change, I’m sure if I paid attention it’d be clearer but tbh I was pulling my mare off of it because she just isn’t handling any injection well so wanted to minimize inflammation responses.

My first thought is trying to avoid the FDA spotlight.

That’s my vote, too.

Can you speak to how it worked for your mare? I’m curious if it actually DOES anything or is just a pyramind scheme.

I didn’t notice a ton of difference with my mare which is why I was fine going off of it (I only started it because we knew something was going on with her hocks and wanted to stave off injections, ended up getting injections anyway, I prefer doing research-proven treatments tbh). But my trainer uses it for her gelding and apparently he’s more through in the back with it (she’s gone off and then back on to see if he moved better at all) - it doesn’t replace proper joint injections though, just part of his total suite of treatments/supplements (like MSM, glucosamine, etc). Our sports medicine vet seems indifferent towards it, he’s the one who said I should try some time off to see if it made a difference but didn’t outright say to go off of it. We both bought directly from the company so while I’m skeptical of science it doesn’t feel as sleazy to buy as like Doterra or whatever-crunchy-supplement-my-SIL-is-selling-at-a-markup.

When I went to the website, it looks like EternaPure and Summit are now partners. Summit is still being marketed at Summit. EternaPure is still being marketed as EternaPure.

I use it and find it to be much more effective than Adequan. 20 yr old TWH pleasure gelding/ hock-stifle issues. He still gets injections as needed (Prostride for stifles) but the Summit has been a great compliment in keeping him moving well!
