Sunshirts for a non-rider?

I’m looking to buy some type of sunshirt as a Christmas present for a family member who does not ride but burns easily and is always trying to cover up in the sun. Ive personally tried most of the equestrian brands and Under Armour. I find the UA shirts to be a little hot and I think the fabric is a too thin on the Kastel, EIS etc shirts to wear as an everyday type top. She has some lightweight long sleeves that work ok but I’d like to get her something that does a very good job cooling.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I’d prefer some kind of quarter zip for neck coverage but not as fitted or clingy as most of the equestrian targeted brands. I actually think a little oversized/loose would be best.

I don’t have specific brands for you, but try checking at your local running store.

San Soleil is a terrific brand of sun shirt. Most of their styles are prints, only some of which are clearly equestrian themed. Some are golf themed, but many are just nice prints. They’re relatively light-weight, and there is a choice of how close to the body they fit.

I own four of them and really love them.
