Also today daughter had a lesson with her new instructor… all went very well. She was so happy she didn’t get screamed at.:no: She told me though on the way home that she didn’t realize how depressed she was getting after not riding for a month… she missed the barn/horsie smell and she had been complaining of ankle pain but she said that it went away once she got her feet in the stirrups again:yes: I can’t wait to get farmer horsie moved… although I am not so sure he will be as thrilled:lol::lol:
New farrier came out today and I found out that the farrier that my old trainer\BM made us use was slowly crippling my horse:cry: His feet were an absolute mess!!! He is barefoot for now… and with any luck may be able to stay that way. It will take several more shoeings to get him better corrected but at least we have a start. The way he was shod wrong explained so many of his back/shoulder problems and soreness I am just so angry that I let this go as long as it did. Even if I wanted to try another farrier which I HAD brought up a couple of times she absolutely refused to let any other farrier in the barn at all… don’t know why… but you could only use HER farrier and HER vet… no others were allowed. :mad:
So I feel like a new horse owner again… going from having every aspect of the care of my horse controlled by someone else… to being completely and utterly on my own (except for my COTH friends:winkgrin:) But I have learned so much… changed things…I think for the better and hopefully will have a happier healthier horse for it. :yes: Silver lining… glass half full kinda girl talking now… finding the good that has come from this pain in the arse mess. :lol::yes:

Baby horsie was born, then I was at a horse show, then a rescue I was fostering cast himself and died, I have been doing some renovations and clean up on the barn. It took me almost three hours to catch up!
I have been in and out of COTH land but wanted a good chunk of uninterrupted time to catch upon HSA.
