I’m sorry guys!!! He had a really really great life - honestly! I’m glad y’all enjoyed the stories about him - but pigs being pigs - there was only one way the story could end. I put it off as long as I could - all winter I kept saying - oh - he’ll stop growing. He’ll not go after the pygmy goat again. Oh - he’ll won’t pin me again. He wasn’t mean - he was just being a pig!
But rest assured - there was no long trailer ride, no feed lot, no stress, nothing but a quick nap in the horse trailer (he actually did fall asleep), and I personally escorted him into his pen at the destination. (I set an appointment) Very very super clean place, friendly staff, family run, and honestly - every animal deserves as quick an end as Kevin - and after a life full of sunshine, grass and their very own pool. He really was a lucky pig who had a much longer life, and a healthier and better one, than his original home would have provided him.
Unfortunately, I am also raising chickens, and not all of them are layers. I will refrain from telling stories about the chickens and horses if it bothers you to find out I had the chickens for dinner!
