I am soooooo going to have a hard time separating him from his harem now. Is there a way to UN-countrify a horse??? Or Mare-B-Gone spray??? He was too afraid to be away from his women he wouldn’t go in the barn to eat his dinner. But he ate breakfast fine the next morning he even gave me a dirty look that morning when I had some horse cookies and was feeding one to the goats while Mr. Studly at his breakfast. He looked up at me agasted!!!
Give his treats to a goat … NEVER!!! He nuzzeled my hand until I gave up the other 2 cookies I was holding!! He used to be soo picky about treats…if he wanted any at all. Now he knows where the cookie jug is and nuzzles it while he is in the barn to get treats!!! He seems so much happier now, I hope he will be just as happy in his permanent home. If I had a truck and trailer I would just haul him to lessons but I don’t :no: I just hope this “vacation” has giving him a nice new look on life as well, I can tell just by his personality changes how much he needed this break. :yes:

He sounds so happy; maybe he can have a little vacation on the farm with his ponies every winter. The racing barn I worked for did that for the horses stabled at the track. They loved playing in the fields and relaxing with their pals, but when it was time to get back to work, they were on duty and ready to go.

h-l does your mower have a name? Mr DQ just purchased Mrs DQ a new mower: Kubota Commercial model. She’s so nice, she so rough and touch and she’s an orange head (brassy-er then red) - we named her Miss Kitty as in Gunsmokes Miss Kitty. Mrs has not yet been allowed to drive Miss Kitty - Mr is enjoying her so far.
