HL even gets brave and takes her horsie out on a bit of a hack in the pastureā¦ This may sound like a minor thing but this was our first hack outside a ring ever!! He was being so good I was in a brave mood and we took a little hack around the pasture near the barn with me telling Trainer if she sees horse running free to come look for me:D. Our previous barn didnāt have a good place to hack, unless you wanted to go alone to a wooded area in the back 40 for the first time trail ride on an OTTBā¦ OOOH where do I sign up for THAT ride:lol:

Horsie was very very good on the hackā¦ but he saw it more as a sneaky grazing opportunityā¦:lol: He is so laid back and happy and relaxed itās like having a different horse. During my daughters lesson last week a lady who owns the TB farm next door was watching him pack my daughter around the ring and made the comment āWell that looks like a been there done that school horse what a good guyā My new trainer laughed and said āActually heās a young still green OTTBā The lady was very surprised and said āIf thatās how he is green I would love to see how he is finished!ā That made me feel so good inside about my daughter and my horse. Itās times like that and the bonding time we had today that make all the heck I went through with this guy more and more worth it. This is my forever horse and I just loff him more and more as time goes on. And our time āoffā in hiding really really strengthened our bond I think.
Oh well enough about that time to think on a new addition to the storyā¦ I am going to see the actual movie on Thursday so I may get additional inspiration. I havenāt slept yet todayā¦ Have been up sinceā¦oooooh 4pm yesterday so not so sure how coherent a story I could type upā¦ but the brain is workingā¦ thinkingā¦[I]HL wonders where all that smoke is comming from[/I]:lol::lol:

Isnāt it the best? You know how much of a weenie I was about riding out in the open. Now picture this ~
Linda and Stitch are doing Cross Country!!! And trail riding around the neighborhood. And schooling in the open field. Itās now our preference.
What a difference it makes when you take control of your horse and their care, etc. The bond is amazing.
