So, I came down to PA to see DH and relieve him of some of the dogs and help him work on organizing this farm (it’s a mess). Since I was down here I decided to go to New Holland and buy one tb… but I made a mistake and bought two

DH wants to know if there’s a ward for me in the Coth Hosp

Now I have to gush about these two little guys. They’re only three and are very sweet. All the people action at the sale, plus the cows and donkeys didn’t faze them. They were just very interested in everything and did whatever they were asked to do, including going down about 5 steps to leave the sale barn!! (All the ramps had trailers backed up to them.) Each step has about a four foot platform before the next step so they’re horse friendly, if the horse is step friendly, but how often do three year olds get to go up and down steps? I had to load them by myself and they just hopped on and said “where to now?”. When we got home I hosed them off because they’d been so hot all day (it was above 95 today) and then I turned them out. They played like they’ve been friends forever and then investigated the barn. They were agasted at the goats and used that as an excuse to buck across the pasture. If I’m really quiet right now I can hear them out there saying “yahoo, yippee yi yea”.[/QUOTE]

Yippee.!!! Now you can fill the hole since you sold your other horse… My horse was agasted the first time he saw goats too but later they were using his butt as a diving board and he didn’t mind at all:lol:. Way to go they sound sweet… Pics are definately necessary… I’m trying to figure out how to explain to my farrier how I need to get pics of him to satisfy a certain “Ribbon Ho’s” need for hot farrier pics… or how to subtly get pics of him in “action” without comming off creepy and wierd.:lol:

I think I can have a chronic horse collectors ward… I have so many wards in store my fingers are going to be sore… One more night of work then I will have more time to post. As it is now websense has not picked up that this site is not work related… WHOOO HOOO!!!

Again way to go… and we must see pics:yes::yes:

THE biggest question on my mind after the marathon reads… Why do we say aghasted? Ive gotten in the habit of saying it aloud on occasion, and I try to explain, end up saying oh, nevermind. Does anyone know the origin of aghasted so I can sleep at night.

I’m not sure there’s a why to that one. I think it’s a word like “gia-normous” that springs from the brain rather naturally. And the word is not limited to CoTH. It shows up all over the interwebz.

Since I’m here, any one like an earworm? I have a good one right now: Abba. Dancing Queen. Just sharing.

Thanks RR… Now I will be thinking that during my riding lesson this morning…:lol: I would encourage you to click on the "Blinded by the light link but I think I remember you saying that you tube was censored in China… Oh well… In the jungle… the mighty jungle… the lion sleeps toniiiight
owimboway owimboway… owimboway :lol: Earworm back at ya:winkgrin:

Where is that Dancin’ Queen Kevin Bacon when we need him???

In the freezer, if memory serves.

I do like Lion Sleeps tonight! Much better earworm than Abba. I need to go find me some lyrics, though. It just kills me to repeat the first two lines over and over again 17 million times. :dead:

No no! No no no! Fortunately, I’m already listening to music, so I think that cancels it out.

What is your ear worm then, PP???

Mine: (guess it)

2 words.
Name of the group.

I have no guess, sorry! I was just wondering if one of our wonderful arteests could render us the horse/beer thread in stick art…

First for Geek… I have pics of my gang of farriers. I say gang because my farrier teaches and often has students with him. Today was a 4fer day and I got the whole gang. I even got them to all pose for me for my daughters ahem imaginary scrapbook… (It was the best I could come up with!! Honest!! I couldn’t exactly say … “Hey guys pose over here there is a “Ribbon Ho” jonesing for some hot farrier pics… say cheeeeze”)

So here is my farrier he is the second from the right in the green shirt and his posse… I am really going to enjoy every trim:lol::lol:(To top it all of he is a great farrier…really he is…) Oh did I mention he is from South Africa… he has a loffly accent somewhere between British and Aussie I could just listen to him talk all day… I’m a sucker for an accent.

The Police.

Do I win something? Or do I get to do one?

If so I’ve: been all around the world and found that only stupid people are breeding.

Who’s second from the left?

Yeah he’s pretty cute too. He is one of his apprentices. I usually get the farrier and at least 2 others. None are hard on the eyes though…

Dude great beer!!AHHHH____-||___________Chug Chug Chug…

The horses have a herd party…This Bud’s for you!!!

What…? No Clydesdales???

That’s a tough one…

My earworm? “See Emily PLay” by Pink Floyd. And it’s still there! (at least I like it!)

Here they are

They continue to be very sweet, inquisitive and polite. They love to play and I think they’re in pretty good health. First they’re joined at the hip, then they’re joined at the head; they’re having a good time. The chestnut is a little light even for a fit horse but he’s eating well and apparently not on anabolic steroids (not at all studish) so I think he’ll pick up quickly. The bay is in good form, not quite as sociable but happy when I approach him and tell him how cool he is.

I think they’ll make good horses for someone out there in a few months. In the meantime, I’m sure enjoying them.

Oh yes, I offered them a beer tonight (I know, they’re underage, but the herd party looked like such a good idea…). They said ewwwwww

I agree!! HUBBA HUBBA!!! The EYES!!!:yes::winkgrin:

Close the 2nd word is “Patrol”
