* (Super-fun horsey stick art!!)

I posed this question some time ago. We won’t know until it happens. I wonder if it will be like the car odometer, and roll back to 0?

![]( had 2 pages of stick art to catch up on. LF and LLF (Little Lost Farmers) will be happy to haul all the kids off to college.

We had fair this last week and the lost family went into survival mode.

Monday, set up the in the building display with all the posters, sewing projects, cooking projects, cake decorating, photography, and Mrs. Lost’s needle work. Finish the day with the horse fun night and scholarship picnic.

Tuesday, Judging of all in inside the building stuff. Kids modeled their clothing projects for the judges.

Wednesday is the driving and draft show. I spent Saturday doing a major harness and horse primping. The harness was looking good the horses about as good as can be expected from mutt ponies. LC#2 was looking to repeat his sweep in the driving classes. He had more competition this year as he raised the bar last year. He also had a team instead of just Cricket single. He drove 6 classes, Single pleasure, team pleasure, single utility (obstacles), single cones, team cones, team utility. He ended up with 2 firsts, 2 seconds, and 2 thirds. Not bad for the second youngest of the kids. State is on the 31st.

Thursday the pigs and calves had to be at the fair by 7:00 for weigh in. All the pigs places in the top 3 of their group and one was the 4th place out of 35. Calves placed well and the kids did a good job of showing them. The best part is once we get to fair dads work is done. I never went into the pig pen nor did I harness a horse.

Friday I went to the office to see if it still was there. It was with a pile of messages.

This is LC#3 holding his brothers pony for the next class. He was a little upset that he was not allowed to show. 4-H rules are 8 as of January 1st. LC#3 spent the summer working Cricket so that she would be ready. Anyway I thought it was a cute picture.

Here is LC#2 in single pleasure 14.2 h and under. The little girl was on her game. The boy was not bad either.

Next was the team events. Here is Ty and Hector the gray welsh pony team. They were started this spring so they are a little green. This is their first show.

Those ponies are ADORABLE!:slight_smile:

Those are wonderful pictures. Now it’s time to get the band of LC off to school so you can take a well-deserved rest.

And see how well you like Mrs Lost’s selection of ahem linens. :eek::yes:

So now I’ve identified 3 of the gutter dwellers. Whose the 4th? Or do I need to expand the gutter?:lol:.

Maybe it’s AMW. Remember, she’s the one who did an illustration of…uh…sheath cleaning :uhoh: :lol:

AMW! I vote AMW! :yes:

LF, your brood is just fabulous. Well done, with the ponies and the pigs and the Little Losts. :yes: Mrs. Lost, as always, has my undying respect.

Moi? :cool: In the gutter? :wink:

Question, Why does everyone respect mrs. Lost? Would living with me be that bad? I mean I have the gray hair and she has not a gray on her head. That must mean I take better care of her than she does me… Right?

We are coming up on 15 years on the 27th. Must get new bed and linens here by then. :yes:

Great pictures - kids and ponies are adorable (I especially like the pout - it is magnificent - something to show his fiancee in the future :lol: )

Hey, you do have a point, it is a pretty good view! Now with summer camp over I might be able to spend more time here…finally!

:lol::lol::lol::lol:

Sure. :wink:

Delightful!! Here’s an adult bevvie and do tell how Ms Sophie Dophie and her offspring are doing!

That’s my birthday!:smiley:

:lol: :lol: :lol:

Sophie Dophie went to her first ever horse show on Saturday. She was an angel, no spooking, took everything in stride. She placed 3rd and 4th in the 10 and under walk trot classes and did not place in the 11 to 14 age group. They were mixed English classes with saddle seat and hunt seat together - just a little, local t-shirt show before the shows around here start back up in the fall.

Baby Tessa is growing like a weed. She was absolutely stunning last month but now I think she is starting to go through those odd growth spurts. I will get some photos posted later, busy trying to get some housecleaning done before lessons start showing up - weather permitting. So far Fay has only brought the Tampa area a little sprinkle and some wind gusts.
