Geez, do I have to be the only adult around here:lol: Ok, VM move over next to HL so WateryGlen can sit next to LF. Now WG, no complaining later if you don’t like your neighbors.

Hey, I am here too!

Ummm, where is here?

Kinda squishy, but I dont think its the couch - do couches complain and curse when you move?

Who cares! More Fruity Dregs and more HSA please

I think I’m in the CC Bus, as designated driver. This is the mods’ way of ensuring none of you ever reach your final destination.

Rofl! Teenslut update: After work I get the message “um the horses are fine, but C cannot be caught as she is running the fence line and screaming. We are going to bed. She has hay and water. Happy Bday” So I went out and captured her. (easy, I said whoa- well more accurately HO! Because she IS one) Brought her in, home and bed. Today everything seems better- they are turned out one paddock further away than the gelding- who now feels like hes Elvis or the cute Beatle. I have never seen such ridiculous antics. Especially not from my horse?? Must be the excitement of a new place, a new gelding to seduce. Exhausted.

MsM, I think the way it works is that you just add yourself if you’d like to be added. Here, I’ll stick you somewhere. If you want to move to sit next to a more (or in the case of LF, a less ) desirable personage or change your mood, go for it.

A novel

Okay, sorry to interrupt, but I feel the need to share a bit about my crazy road trip now that it’s behind me…

I left Wednesday morning to take #1 daughter up to college in Virginia. She’s at Hollins now, and it was a major haul! Under perfect conditions the trip should take about 10-11 hours from south GA to Roanoke.

We left early, stopped south of Atlanta to pick up my mom, had lunch at the Varsity in Atlanta, and headed on. South of Charlotte, NC my Tahoe began to make a knocking noise. Just for background, the 'ho has majorly high miles, so I had taken it in for a tune up before the trip - and my mechanic blessed it. Anyway, I called USRiders to get a number for a service center in Gastonia since the time was fast approaching 5:00. The guys at the service center felt the motor was going ($3,000-$4,000)

I managed to find a rental car place not too far away and a chevy dealership almost across the street from the rental place. Yay! We loaded all the stuff that had been in the Tahoe into the rental, dropped the Tahoe off and headed on to Roanoke. Thankfully, the kid wasn’t upset by the slight detour that took about 1 1/2 hours and the whole trip up only took 12 1/2 hours.

Thursday the kid did orientation stuff while I spent too much time on the phone. At first the chevy place thought the car could be fixed for not too much money (relative to the monster figure for a new motor). That turned out not to be the case, so the phone calls began to figure out a way to get the Tahoe back home since, amazingly, it seems to still have some value. I also needed to find a rental company that would let me rent a car one way so I could get home.

Friday I wrap up college drop off with the kid and hit the road pretty early. Since things seemed to be under control with the cars, I go ahead with plans to see a horse that wasn’t ‘too’ far from Charlotte. I missed a turn off and ended up going WAYYYYY out of the way, getting stuck in traffic all over the place, and arriving hours later than planned to see the beastie.

The beastie was lovely, but now I’m seriously behind schedule! The car dealership and both rental car places will probably close before I can get to them… That’s not so bad for the car I’m dropping off. I can just do the drop box thing. The other two places involve much begging and some $ tips to keep people there on a holiday Friday evening.

I throw my mom out at the dealership to pay for the useless repairs and empty out the Tahoe. Then I rush to rent the car that will take me home. I park it outside the fence to pick up later. I go back to pick up mom and contents of the Tahoe (packed in the XL ziplock bags that formerly held college kid’s stuff). We backtrack to pick up the new car and she follows me to drop of the old rental. Finally, we’re on the road again!!

We arrive at my folks’ house 15 hours after we started out :dead: I had to crash for the night and drive the last 3 hours home this morning. The second rental car has been turned in and I’m now driving my late MIL’s Lincoln Towncar  I’m afraid to add up how much that little trip cost. Between gas, hotel, two car rentals, and a major non-repair…

So, I finally went back and edited post 10,000, but for those of you who don’t want to go back that far, I pretty much just added a big fat

Yeah… I had several moments when I suspected I might actually be insane.
Bless her heart, my mom never got pissed - even after we drove what was probably and extra 4-5 hours to watch the horse for thirty minutes. She said, “You looked so happy standing there watching that horse. You needed that”. What a great mom! (It is possible she’s crazy too - I had to get it from somewhere ;))

Holy crapola Beastie!!! Remind me never to go on a road trip with you. Your mom sounds like a peach…my mom was the same way. And yes, insanity usually runs in the family. Ask me how I know this.

Recount! You’re sea foam green. This one -->:D

RR- we see you MUCH more often when theres chores to be done- whats up?! Other than a small logging project in your driveway- packing perhaps?!

Speak![](ng of packing… We went to the state fair on Saturday. Here it a picture of the caravan of carts and wagons. I am titleing this one “Clampets Run Amuck”
[IMG]http://i512.photobucket.com/albums/t323/lostfarmer1/IMG_2446_1.jpg)

And speaking of teenage slut horses. I guess that she should be concidered and old slut hag. Sons mare was in serious squat wink and squirt mode. She is normally not at all forward and promiscuous. After she caught a swift knee to the guts as she was in mid squeal she decided she could put her hormones on ice until after the show. She drove like a champ.

LF

 Packing! Give the young lady on the right a cigar! The log story is from a couple of years ago - it’s a very old post that someone else bumped. We sold that farm over a year ago now.

The kids and I came back from a month on South Carolina on Saturday and we are packing up our rental house and are finally ending the lease. We did the barn today (to keep this horse related) and packed everything in my horse trailer. Everything. Talk about Beverly Hillbillies. We stuck the whole blessed mess in a storage unit.

I kept reminding my husband, as we jammed one. more. thing. in that two horse gooseneck that at some point in time, we would need to empty it in order to restore it to its normal function as a horse trailer. So that maybe when we eventually moved I could take my pony with me??

I’ll be on a plane on Wednesday with the wee children, Hong Kong bound! Packed. I hope. Wish me luck!

Just goes to show you what not enough sleep will do to a teenager! Sorry LF!
