Suspended without being on the suspension list?

I think I may have watched the round you’re referring to… I don’t remember the division other than it was the pro days. I thought it was excessive, but not necessarily “abusive”.

The round I am thinking of was a super balky horse that didn’t want to go past the gate to the first jump. The rider whacked it once with the stick and then galloped a lap around the ring… surprisingly once she got it going forward, it was fine.

Message her and find out!

It was @Jackjoe1 that referred to the mysteriously “deleted” round, not me, my answering point being that people should be more specific if they are going to complain about suspiciously (in their opinion) deleted rounds.

The horses name was Walland. He was in the 3’9 green at Harrisburg. Kate Conover rode him the first day and the second day they put a different rider on him. I agree it was excessive.

Yes, it would.

If you remember, the cocaine positive drug test of one of Jane Clark’s horses, ridden at the time by Mario Deslauriers, was not kept a secret and if USEF or the FEI ever had a reason to hide an issue, it would have been then. Bruce Burr took the fall for it, because he signed as trainer, but no one believed he had anything to do with it and if I remember correctly he was reinstated?
The positive cocaine test was of course blamed on a groom, as if grooms using cocaine would leave enough residue on their hands to cause a horse to test positive.

I highly doubt that USEF would go all in on a “conspiracy”, to protect someone as inconsequential (compared to Jane Clark) as Tori Colvin, great rider that she is.

And then this came out about the rider she chose to succeed Deslauriers.

Thank you for standing behind your words. :+1:

Maybe she’s sick, or her mom is and so she decided to stay home. It could be something like that rather than a drug issue.

I know nothing about the drugging allegation. While I was reading, I realized that this woman has been showing since she was seven. She’s 27 now, so 20 years of showing, with much of that at a very high level. That’s a very long time in the public eye. I hope she’s taking a gap year, and finding some joy.
