Is there another way to look up suspensions other than the back of the Chronicle magazine?
The image makes it look as if it just goes to the main USEF site, but in fact it goes to the “ineligibility list”.
Your link took me to a “Page Not Found”, maybe because I’m not a member.
I did find the Safe Sport list:
Well, try this
go to usef.org
select Compete
select Resources and Forms
select Rules and Regulations
select Suspension List
Fixed usef.ORG, not com
Check your link, I think it should be usef.org
I looked under Compete and clicked the Ineligibility List and it asked for a login, so apparently you have to be a member to see it.
Janets chain is correct but you must be a member to view ( which I believe is wrong but that is for another day)
It doesn’t ask me to login again, but it probably maintains my login status from the last time I logged in, even though it was a while ago.
What does “Ineligible - General Rule Violation” mean? Does that mean you cannot compete? How do you reverse this?
Just curious, based on this thread I went and looked at the USEF site & saw this and wondered what it means.
Unless it says otherwise “Ineligible” means you can’t compete, you are not allowed on the grounds, not allowed to own or train a competing horse, be an official, be an organizer, be on a USEF committee, and so on.
In most cases, a suspension is for a specific amout of time, and you just have to wait for the end date.
If the suspension is because you owe money to the USEF (e.g., a fine) or a USEF recognized show (e.g., entry fees), then it ends when you pay. But there won’t be a stated “end date”.
There are a few cases of “permanent suspension”, the most well known being for the insurance killings decades ago. I think some of the Safe Sport suspensions may also be permanent, but I am not sure about that.
yes some safe sport violations are permeant. you may have to cross reference to the SS site and sort by sport. USA Equestrian is the reference name for sorting
