Swaine & Adeney ladies riding crop-- where to sell?

Not an advert, and not a hunting whip… sorry, no good bait for you hunting types. But I’m posting here because you guys know who/what Swaine and Adeney is.

I have a ladies riding crop that’s pretty but has no sentimental value to me. I’d like to sell it for a fair price if possible. Where do I send it, or whom do I call?

Do you think that Hunt-centric store in (in the old house with all rooms packed to the brim with good stuff) in Marshall, VA could advise me?

Any other places you can think of?

Many thanks.

You’ll find plenty on ebay. Older ones fetch higher prices. They can be dated by hallmak and name. (The company went through several name changes.)

Try Horse Country in Warrenton, VA. I did a lot of consignments with them a few years ago; they take a commission but they move your stuff.

Middleburg Tack Exchange in Middleburg.

For anything small enough to mail that does not need to be tried on you’ll get the most for it on eBay. As long as you take good photos and have bought at least a couple of things so you don’t have 0 feedback you’ll get a good price for it.

The “hunt centric” store in Marshall closed 2 yrs. ago sadly…
