Swamp a$$ solutions?

Custom donkey pad! If you ever want cute schooling pads, lemme know, I got the hook up - if you can dream a pattern or trim or bead color combo, she can find it! She makes ALL my pads now, literally (I don’t show hunters but she could make a custom fitted pad too).

OH, this sounds very dangerous!

I use anti monkey butt before riding copiously all over my butt (get up in there!) and after riding I bring a loose tank top and men’s boxers to change into for the drive home. I towel dry, spread more powder, change into dry clothes.

I am a DDD and this is the only bra I can ride in! It holds everything in place! I also live in the desert and find that it does a pretty good job helping to keep me cool (no boob sweat marks at least!) It also goes on sale pretty often and its 10/10 worth it!

On the bottom I usually wear the Nike Pro compression shorts instead of traditional underwear- I find them more comfortable for athletic activities, and they are moisture wicking so with my Kerrits Ice Fil Breeches I’m actually usually pretty cool even when its creeping up to over 100 degrees out!

I wish I could wear compression shorts or what my SO calls Crossfit shorts… but my thighs are too big and they roll right up into my bikini area and that creates a whole other set of very serious problems

Get the longer ones! I love the under armor style. Even though it adds a layer I feel cooler and no chafing under dresses wearing their heat gear ones.

Off to try Buck Naked and Knix undies, I hate swamp butt!

Which ones are the longer ones you mention? I have some UA ones that are mmmm 2.5 inches or so, and under compression running shorts they will stay but anything else is a no go.

Mine are at least 15+ years old now but I think they have the 8 inch inseam. The shorter ones just roll up on me! They don’t look that long on me unless I really pull the bottom hem down. They generally don’t show below normal shorts. I wore them under my Air Force PT shorts because fitness tests would give my partner a real eyeful during the sit-up portion and they also helped with chafing.

Ooh I second Kerrits IceFill tights! Just make sure you purchase the ones with the belt loop. And Knix is great, face wipes are handy to have, a neck fan is nice and Tailored Sportsman seem to have the best sun shirts.

I love the icefill tights, and the long sleeve sunshirts. I’ll get the sleeves damp if it’s really hot, but Texas doesn’t have quiet the same humidity situation. I wear my icefills even though I don’t ride anymore. I tried shorts… once… Not only did my Northern European skin object to the exposure, but I am one of those people who’s pheromones send out a “buffet is open” call to every biting insect in a 3 mile radius. I also appreciate not having hay stick to sweaty skin. How does anyone survive wearing shorts to the barn?

@TheJenners Try searching 8" compression shorts on Amazon. There should be lots of options.

I will agree with everyone else about the Kerrits Icefil tights. Nothing comes close to being as light and cooling when it is ultra hot. I don’t like having long sleeves when it is warm, so I apply sunscreen and wear a short sleeve top. I am obsessed with the Adidas golf polo shirts. They are remarkably cooling and ventilated and dry super fast. They look nice enough to wear at schooling shows but are also durable and wash well for every day wear. You could buy 2 or 3 of them for the price of one sun shirt.

Was just looking into these - which model do you wear? I can’t stand the wet feeling on the way home…

If you have any interest in trying the Thinx brand, they’re on sale this weekend - 30% off. I found the cotton ones are thicker, but the air one are super light - thinner than the underwear I usually wear! They also have a posted return policy of 60 days - I haven’t tested it because I kept the first 3 pairs I bought and I’m buying 3 more at this sale.

Thank you so much! Off to find some now…I appreciate the heads-up!

I have a product that definitely helps with chafing, though not sweating specifically.

It’s by Lanacane , a lubricant that goes on and feels dry.
