Sweet Swedish Shads

Love the shads on the Swedes - a slightly brighter shade of blue with neat yellow piping on the sleeves, in a nod to their flag. Very cool.

Really, Sweden was the only nation who could have carried off those baby blue and yellow rugby jerseys during the opening ceremonies; any other country would have looked dopey. They certainly looked better than Team USA in our stupid pretentious berets and scarves.

The Swedes did wear helmets with their cool shads, however, leading the BBC commentator to toss pc to the wind by stating that he’d “never get used to crash helmets and tails.” :lol:

Was this the Eventing-Dressage or the Dressage crew? I need to see these! I’m starting to like non-traditional colors on coats these days and these sound like they might be inspirational!

The shads looked really nice! They weren’t too crazy, the yellow and blue was just a really pretty accent-it set the swedes apart in a good way without being in your face about it.

And I loved their opening ceremony rugby shirts! Yellow and blue are two of my favorite colors together, and I loved the idea of rugby shirts for the opening ceremonies-not to formal/stuffy, and still pretty sporty without looking like they just came from the gym.
