My mare has a swollen right knee. She is also limping. There is nothing wrong with her feet. She is a older mare. I think it might be arthritis but at the moment I don’t have money to call the vet straight out.
And? Are you cold hosing it? Keeping her turn-out limited/not turning her out with other horses? Did you try bute for her? Any signs of an injury? If she doesn’t improve you really need to find a way to get a vet out - I know it can get expensive but it’s the only way to know what’s really going on (& it’s not fair to her to be in pain)…
