Can anyone recommend a good tack consignment shop in the San Francisco Bay Area or Sacramento area? I feel like so many buyers seem suspicious, so I’ve had it with trying to sell online myself. Thanks!
The only one that I can think of is A Little Bit Used in Sacramento. She’s pretty clueless about English tack (had an interesting way of measuring saddles, for ex.) but she’s remained in business for many years and offers on-line sales.

There’s Saddles to Boots in Sebastopol and All About Equine in Shingle Springs, not sure if either one are true consignment or just buy your stuff and resell. Tack Warehouse in Woodland takes a few saddles but not other used tack as far as I know. If it’s a high end saddle, Redwood Tack is excellent.

All About Equine is a wonderful store. All blankets for example are spotless and much of their stuff is new. I believe it accepts donations only to support their horse rescue.

Redwood Tack buys saddles outright instead of consigns them, so Leah can be picky about which saddles she’ll take. Just email her.
Highline Tack isn’t local to you, but I can highly recommend them from both a buying and selling standpoint.
