I’m driving to pick up a new horse tomorrow and I need some things for him. I’m driving from Orlando up to Atlanta with my trailer today, then from Atlanta to Aiken tomorrow. Any tack shops on the Orlando -> GA route?? Preferably in Ocala. I need one that’s open on Sunday. Thanks in advance!
A friend from Florida told me about Horsetown, near Locust Grove, I think exit 212 south of Atlanta. Mega horse store, mostly boots and clothing, but do have tack etc and supplies. They do have a big parking lot that accommodates trailers etc, as I was on my way back to Ontario with a travel trailer, not horse. It is less then 1/2 mile west of I-75. open Sunday 12-6.

Yep, Horsetown on the I-75 was my first thought. They actually have a pretty large supply of tack stuffs there. About half of the place is clothes and the other half is tack and it’s split by discipline (and carries both!). Found some pretty decent stuff there for a good price. Living in Savannah GA a while and tack shops of any decent kind were very very rare in the area (even going to SC for them >.<)
Tack Shack in Ocala - about a 5 minute drive from the exit. Nice big parking lot that will accommodate a trailer.
Pony Express in Tallahassee is not as big but isn’t bad and is right by the exit.
That big tack shop south of Atlanta is also very impressive. If you can’t find it there, I’m not sure where you can!
I really love Atlanta Saddelry in Alpharetta (not sure if that is on the way). Huge variety of price points.
