Hi all! I’m making a quick trip north of the border this weekend (for the Breeders Crown at Woodbine racetrack, woo!) and might have some time to kill on Saturday afternoon. As I’m in the market for some new show boots, thought I’d check out local tack shops if there are any good deals. Any suggestions? Hotel is specifically in Mississauga if that helps. There are many just north of Mississauga as well but Bahr’s is a great place to start. Also Greenhawk Saddlery is right in the heart of Mississauga and I believe is having their annual warehouse sale this weekend. Bahr’s is more upscale however depending on what type of show boots you are interested in. I would google both places…beautiful weather in Toronto right now. Your timing is perfect for a visit.
Definitely go to Bahr’s over Greenhawk.
A bit of a drive but you may want to check out Running Fox and Richvale as well.
Second the Bahr’s and Greenhawk. Love the selection at Bahr’s (also that its a family run business) but you can’t complain about Greenhawk’s pricing on consumables. Add in the warehouse sale… I would check both out! Bahr’s is in Milton (20-30 minute drive usually from various locations in Mississauga) and Greenhawk warehouse is in Mississauga (nearer to Brampton).
If you want to go more far afield, there is Wellington’s in Waterdown, Picov’s in Ajax, and Pleasant Ridge nearer to Brantford.

Thanks! This is my hope…thinking I can get some pretty decent-end show boots for a much better price than here in the states!
If you are talking people boots, I have to recommend the Treadstone Tuscanys, which are available at many Ontario tack shops (at around $300) but at the main distributor Richvale, there are even sometimes seconds on the shelf for half the price.
And I mean, it is Greenhawk saleweekend. I mean, there is nothing particularly special about greenhawk, but it is a sale.
